Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just my 5 trees pruned and trimmed by Tree Shepherds. Stan Williams originally came out and assessed the condition. He was honest and forth-coming about the condition of the trees and offered clear explanations about what the plan would be and how it would be done. The day of trimming a very professional group of workers came. They did a great job and left my yard free of branches and twigs when they left. I would highly recommend this company to take great care of your precious trees!

Just had the real "A" team do a trim up of our trees and they did an excellent job. Very professional and ensured I was happy with the job. Here is one before and after pic of a beautiful live oak that needed an expert and knowledgeable trimming. The other three pictures include a post oak close to the house, a sugar maple that needed trimming to strengthen the tree, and several of the post oaks where Trey swung from tree to tree to trim them! Highly recommed the team and Tree Shepherds. We have been using them now for approximately 10 years for various tree-related projects.

Tyler, Noble and the team were excellent. We experienced top notch Professionals. They were intentional and careful about every move they made on our property. They were mindful of sprinkler heads, and strategic in their work. The clean up! Pristine! The only evidence they were on our property was the fresh sunlight coming through. The original arborist took time to answer questions and help us understand our trees and the care they need. I have sidewalks everywhere and new sod. Everything is intact after the machines left. We are very pleased.

I have known this family many years and that they have an excellent reputation . When I recently moved into a new home it was only natural that when I decided to get my tress trimmed I would call them.

Stan came out and took a look at all our trees and explained to us everything and more that we wanted to know about them. We were having trouble with too much shade and grass not growing so it was recommended that we trim our trees way back and reshape them. We took Stans recommendation and they showed up on the scheduled time on time and did an excellent job of getting everything done that we agreed to. Everything was cleaned up and other than our trees looking completely different, one would never know they were there. The price was very reasonable, especially for the amount of work that they did. I highly recommend Tree Shepards for your tree trimming and will definitely use them again in the future.

A team of 4 worked for a full 8 hours ( in 100 degree heat ) and did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. The work was well outlined prior and throughly completed. They completely cleaned up and hauled off all trees/debris. I would 100% recommend this company and will definitely use again!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tree Shepherds are fantastic. I got a quote and the work was completed all within two days. Beyond the fortunate scheduling, the arborist was incredibly knowledgeable and even gave me some guidance for a few recently planted trees not included in my scope of work with them. I was super impressed with the crew, they took extra care through my yard and around the shed, ensuring they left everything better than before. They were friendly, knowledge, efficient, and went the extra mile. The quote itself was a very fair price. Why go anywhere else? These folks will take care of you.

Update:

One year later another great team! We had a dangerous tree from a neighbor hanging over but wanted it handled with care due to wildlife living in it. We also needed a crepe trimmed back from a fence line - perfect. Then a bar installed to keep our oak strong. That’s my favorite tree.

Marcus, Marco and Sebastian you were all so kind. Thank you for everything!

Original review follows:
Tree Shepherds has been a model company to work with so far. I’m glad I checked around with a couple places because when they came to our house the difference was astonishing.

Stan was highly knowledgeable in his appraisal. He was kind and professional and I immediately felt comfortable.

Tree Shepherds has a residential stump grinder (a previous place wanted me to disassemble my wooden fence) and they take away everything they cut down. The other place was going to leave it. I was feeling stressed out.

When Joseph, Marco and Marcus arrived the day of our work it was with a warm greeting. They worked quickly and thoroughly and left my trees healthy and beautiful. They didn’t need to go into anyone else’s yards and didn’t put pressure on me like this other company had.

I’m so glad I chose Tree Shepherds. They had such nice reviews and I hope mine will help others decide to go with them, too.

I’d also like to mention Kim who handles the calls and billing. She went above and beyond.

I’m currently scheduling a second appointment to have a stump removed. I’ll update if anything changes but as for now, glowing five stars!

Plano Tree Trimming and Pruning

Proper pruning is essential for maintaining healthy, structurally sound trees in Plano’s urban environment. We perform selective pruning to remove deadwood, reduce excessive end weight, improve canopy structure, and minimize storm-related failures from Plan trees. For mature shade trees, careful pruning can help extend longevity while preserving the natural character of the tree.

We also provide structural pruning for younger trees to encourage strong branch development and reduce future maintenance problems.

Our Pruning Services

Old stumps can become obstacles in the landscape. While the rotting material adds nutrients to the soil, you might not want the insects that comes with that in your yard. Our stump grinding services remove remaining stumps below the surface, helping restore and prepare the area for sod, planting, or future landscape improvements.
